Did you hear about Linden Yarn & Textiles’ speakeasy, old sport?

We adore the shop hop at Linden Yarn and Textiles! One aspect we always get jazzed about is the theme of the hop and the promise of creative expression and interpretation it holds. We can all agree that F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby is one of the great American novels and it’s been a rich and vibrant starting point for our shop hop celebration.

If you are hopping with a VIP or EZ pass this year, ChrisRKnits and Linden Yarn & Textiles have an extra special Speakeasy planned just for you on Friday night from 6-8 pm. You’ll need your sticker and the password “The Food Group” to enter. There will be food, beverages, music and fun! Oh, and to add to the excitement, we’ll be unveiling a trunk show from our dyer. Drop on by, old sport, you wouldn’t want to miss out!

“He smiled understandingly — much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced — or seemed to face — the whole external world for an instant, and then concentrated on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favor. It understood you just so far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself, and assured you that it had precisely the impression of you that, at your best, you hoped to convey.” -Nick Carraway of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Cover art by Francis Cougat
