Join us for the Sixth Annual Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop, April 12th - 15th! This year is the biggest Shop Hop yet with fourteen of the Twin Cities’ best yarn shops participating.
To begin your tour, pick up driving directions and an entry card at any one of the shops listed. At each shop, get your entry form stamped and pick up a free pattern for a unique Yarn Around the World 2012 project. A completed entry form, stamped at each and every shop, qualifies you to enter the drawing for the Grand Prize valued at over $2000 of knitting/crocheting supplies or one of fourteen First Prizes full of fiber goodies. At the same time, you can also enter your name for exciting door prize drawings at each shop. The first day of the Shop Hop is Thursday, April 12, 2012. You can (try to) complete the Shop Hop all in one day or spread it out over four days.
HELP STOCK LOCAL FOOD SHELVES:
Each shop will have a limited quantity of unique, collectible charms that will be yours in exchange for your donation of cash (the suggested donation is $5 per shop) or non-perishable food items to a local food shelf chosen by each shop. In addition, your completed entry card along with the qualifying donation will entitle you to a pin to easily display all your charms. (Only one donation is required at the final stop for that shop’s charm and the pin.) Come early while supplies last.
LIMITED EDITION YARN:
To enhance your tour around the metro yarn world, each shop has commissioned a limited edition yarn specifically for this spectacular event. Each shop will have its own yarn that will be featured in its pattern given to shop hop visitors.
NEW KNITTER PROMOTION:
- Bring a friend along who is not knitting yet and share your fiber world with them!
- Enter a DRAWING for a FREE beginning knitting lesson - each shop will draw a winner each day (supplies purchased separately); winners contacted on Monday, April 23rd.
- Join "Ready, Set, Knit" - our FREE drop in knitting clinic at any participating shop on Sunday, April 15th from 1-4pm; plan on a 30-minute lesson to learn the "knit stitch" on a set of needles already cast on for you and ready to go! Seating is different and limited at each store; if chairs are filled, please feel free to browse while you wait for a spot to open up.
- EXTRA CHARM - you and your "sponsor" will each receive a special New Knitter Charm when you participate in our "Ready, Set, Knit" drop-in session.

RULES FOR GRAND PRIZE/FIRST PRIZE DRAWINGS AND CHARMS:
1. Only one entry per person.
2. Must have all fourteen official stamps to be eligible to enter Grand Prize/First Prize drawings.
3. Official stamps can only be obtained April 12, 13, 14, and 15, 2012, and must be obtained in person. Turn in your entry card at the last shop visited.
4. Grand Prize/First Prize drawings will be held on Friday, April 20, 012.
Winners will be notified by Monday, April 23.
5. Shop personnel are not eligible to win Grand Prize or First Prizes.
6. No purchase is necessary to receive patterns. A separate food shelf donation at each shop is necessary for that shop’s charm.
7. Supplies of charms are limited to first 500 eligible customers. Come early while supplies last.
